I was born in Newport News, Virginia. I lived in Cumberland County from age 4 to 22. Then I moved to Richmond, Va. I received many awards from my high school and then went into independent study there. At VCU, 2 paintings were exhibited in a yearly juried show at the university's Anderson gallery. I received the Dr. Luis and Ruth Harris purchase award in 2004. Several commissioned works have been completed for private collections in Virginia and Sydney, Australia. My most recent work was shown at the Virginia State Capitol and at the MCV Medical Sciences building.
