911 painting
glowing moon painting
"Soul Sky"
This painting is very personal. There are 3 arms for each figure, the third represents the deep bond and trust between the two that are joined.

"Soul Scream"
This expresses a feeling of being frustrated, trapped, endlessly distracted and drawn away from peace.

"Lauren"
Done from a photograph. This is an image of a young girl making a face. The subject was chosen for its impulsivity, confrontational humor, interaction with the viewer, and playful qualities often associated with children.

"911"
I began this multimedia painting on the day of Sept 11 when the twin towers fell. It expresses through sharp chaotic lines the sense of pain, harsh reality, fear and chaos that  americans felt.

"Glowing moon"
A painting about mystery and the unknown: what is waiting further down the road? The glowing moon and road lines are luminous in the midst of this dark land.

"Parting Sea"
Line, shape and luminosity carries this painting. The idea originated from paintings of skies and was pushed further into abstraction.

"Sun rip"
If the sun were to rip itself apart, it would look like this! The same idea was used for this as was the "Parting sea".

"Spirits Floating"
Someone said this reminded them of Georgia O'Keefe. The first artist to compare it to that I thought of was Kadinsky. This painting is very flowing and soft like the daydreams that enter my mind.

"The look"
Done from a magazine advertisement, this painting was a study of the lines and shapes there while bringing into fine art, commercially staged "beauty".

"The kiss"
The shadows and light that stripe the nude figures was interesting to paint, along with the passion of flesh and intimacy. This too was done from a magazine picture.

"Blue teddy"
This is another version of Chucky's teddy from the cartoon "The Rugrats".
